Cordelia:

leader of the undine; associated gemstone: sapphire

The leader of the Undine, Queen of the Seas and Keeper of the Raging Tides. Cordelia is a gentle, mysterious woman who spends much of her time within her coral castle in Salt Spire. She encourages her Undine followers to seek knowledge everywhere and aid those in need at every opportunity. The second largest library in all of Caldera is within her castle, but access to it is difficult to obtain, and although she is exceptionally kind, winning her favor enough to see it could be quite the challenge.

Nymion:

leader of the sylph; associated gemstone: white opal

In an unfortunate event during July 2025, Admiral Aella was struck down suddenly and without warning. In her stead arose Nymion, the new sovereign of the Sylph, wielding formidable power over lightning and commanding even greater mastery of the winds. Bold, arrogant, and undeniably powerful, he confronts without hesitation anyone who dares to challenge his authority.

Terra:

leader of the dryad; associated gemstone: emerald

Terra, the leader of the Dryad and the Keeper of the Land, seeks to keep the world in balance with an almost fanatical focus. She directs those in her charge to always be mindful of how much is taken and what is given in return. She believes that the civilized must live in harmony with the natural world, protect and nurture that which they encroach upon. She prefers a calm and peaceful existence for all, but acknowledges that it simply not always the way of nature: disease and rot often must be culled for new life to thrive, a law which applies to all within her charge.

Ignacia:

ruler of Ignacia's Cradle; sub-faction of the dryad

Herald of flame born from the newly risen volcano in the Dryad territory, Ignacia seems wise beyond her years and more than willing to aid Terra in maintaining the peace of the Dryad lands.

Vesper:

shadowy savior of the sea

The shadowy knight was born from a ritual initiated by Cordelia deep within her tower in Salt Spire. As the ritual reached its peak, the Visitors’ sacrifices fueled his summoning, and from the same murky waters that had once plunged the sea into chaos, Vesper emerged. He was created with a singular purpose—to destroy Triton, a being long dismissed as mere legend.

Triton:

Triton was once a god of light, justice, and celestial wisdom who fell into darkness, consumed by grief and anger, leading him to betray his allies and attempt to destroy Cordelia. Though slain, he was redeemed through the efforts of the Visitors and Vesper, who gathered his scattered memories and helped restore his legacy from one of vengeance to one of hope and understanding.

The Tavernkeeper:

A shapeshifter merely known as “the Tavernkeeper,” they maintain the tavern for new arrivals and offer answers to general questions they may have. Their appearance changes based on whomever is looking at them, ever shifting to accommodate them and their comfort - always looking like an old friend or a familiar face that might help them to remain calm.

Bonita:

The artisan supposedly responsible for handcrafting all Bones circulating in Caldera. When Visitors complete quests, she is the one to leave their rewards at their doorsteps for them to claim, and will do so with an uncanny speed the moment the quest is completed. She will leave just as quickly and is very shy, preferring not to speak to most people and vanishing in a flurry of black feathers if approached.
