Summary: Bel's response to the disaster was largely focused on keeping his friends from overworking themselves. He was willing to sacrifice some of his own work in favor of a life he's building here. Which immediately got complicated as his future vision showed that a sibling he'd assume was dead was alive, and that Bel might meet them in the future.
